- Week after week I carry on about people trying to fix things themselves.
- This week was no exception with a beautiful 8-month-old wool carpet in a high-end Floreat apartment.
- Their dopey dawg had eaten some grass at the local park and proceeded to redeposit it onto their bedroom carpet in two areas
- They bought an “Oxy” supermarket product, which on many an occasion I had seen take colour out of carpet
- This time, it hadn’t, but it did leave quite a nice discolouration on the carpet – essentially chemical residues
- It was a fairly straightforward job in the end, but just shows that adding chemicals to a “stain”, just adds more stuff in – but where does it go?
- Answer is nowhere! It’s all still in the carpet! So unless you have an extraction machine, its all still in there!
- Sometimes, it pays to spend money to save money!
