- If anyone has ever listened to any of my rants, one would be to do with Baking Soda
- It’s all over the internet, how great it is at solving every cleaning dilemma under the sun.
- However, put it on wool, and it’s a completely different story!
- This week, had a guy who’d dropped chilli paste on the carpet.
- So out came the supermarket cleaner. Hmmm, it’s worse!
- Internet says baking soda and vinegar – cool, let’s do it! Uh oh, it’s worse!
- “I know, let’s go to Bunnings and hire their machine and use their detergent!”
Even bigger oops, it was not wool friendly at all and now looks worse than it did, with it having gone several shades of orange-brown with a couple of bonus bleached areas to go with it! - Now looking at a possible $600-$800 repair instead of a $250 charge to deal with it in the first instance!
Moral of the story, call Fresh Aire, not Google when you strike problems with furniture or flooring!
