- Carl got called out to do an outdoor setting this week with water marks.
- “Piece of cake”, or so we thought as outdoor fabrics are designed to get wet.
- So Carl gets there, sure enough brown marks all over the fabric – and they simply won’t rinse off!
- Just plain acrylic, so this should not happen. Questioning the client – just isopropyl alcohol and Morning Fresh dishawashing liquid, nothing else!
- Just didn’t make sense!
- But then came the sheepish comment… “but the suppliers did say we can use bleach”
- Yep, that’ll do it! Bleach is highly alkaline, higher alkalinity than acrylic can tolerate and therein lay the problem.
