- Another inspection of interest this week
- Brand new build in Trigg, complaint of colour variation
- Sure enough, when I get there you can see a massive difference from one side of the seam to the other
- To the laymans eye, it’s a colour issue
- To my eye, it was a laying issue known as “seam peaking
- Ä seam not perfectly flat will cast a shadow on the side away from the light source, but you can change the “dark side”by changing the angle of light
- So not a carpet fault, but a laying issue
- Win for the manufacturer, groan from the layer who now has to redo the seam!
- Need an issue reporting on? Franco is your man!!
